First I need to say that I'm very sorry that this blog (Review) is late, I've had a lot going on with it only being the fourth week back at school for my daughter and also at the end of January I finally had my elbow surgery. So not only am I dealing with the pain from the surgery but also with the reactions, side effects of the pain medications which I'm currently on.

First and foremost I owe a huge thank you to the non other one and only Lexi Davis, for letting me have this book early and giving me the chance to read this before publication date. I love her so so much and she is like a friend to me which is even better for me, she takes her time to interact with me and I also love being a part of her messenger group.

"Now go meet Damian. He pays attention in ways that should scare you.... But probably won't."

Damian is a twenty-eight year old man who is already rich, he mentions that he could probably afford to retire if he wants to but he wouldn't because then he would be bored and have nothing to do. He works in a bank but in his spare time what he does is very interesting but also very stalkerish I feel lol, but who he is as a character is very interesting shall I say. Damian doesn't just know everything about Hannah, he is watching her every move and her every activity.

"Knowing intimate details about her, details she never offered me, is messed up. I'm not so far gone that I don't recognise that."

Hannah is in her twenty's and she swore herself of men after her bad experiences, that is until Damian comes into the picture and everything starts to change for her. She ends up deciding to register herself onto a dating site, to only be stood up which she was not happy about so she was going to tell her date what was what. That was until Damian walks in, and then he takes it into his own hands to protect Hannah from getting herself into a bad situation.

"Cupid is a liar. And Marco is a dead man."

The plot of this novella, the way it is written, the characters, the banter, the romance are so well done that this is a 6 star read. Everything works well and fits into place together, which makes it very unputdownable and hooking. It's one of those book where you need to have no responsibilities at the time to read it all with your snacks and drinks, so make sure you tell you kid(s) and your other half and family that it's a do not disturb time because you need to read this in one sitting.

"I've wondered what his voice would sound like. The super-hot guy who lives down the hall. I've spent an embarrassing amount of time slowing my steps past his door, listening for any sound that might tell me what sort of man he is."

The plot of this novella is set on the one and only romantic night of the year Valentines day/night, we read about panic attacks happening through busy New Your traffic which is crazy and stressful. A gun shoot out at the restaurant where her date was suppose to be at, where Damian then shows up to protect the one person he fell in love with from watching behind his monitor screens. To the perfect date that Hannah has wished and been looking forward to her whole life.

"But his eyes. They were what knocked the breath right out of my lungs. Blue. Startling. Too intense. "

I thoroughly enjoyed this short, sweet, unputdownable novella, this was my something light to read after being left on a huge cliff hanger from Dire Bound. Shall I add that really has mucked up my feelings as I'll have to wait until release date for Fury Bound in May I think. But that could all change if I end up with a ARC copy of the second novel. But yes this novella was my soul, it was sweet, exciting and it really has helped me. I cannot wait to see what you bring to me (okay and the others) next Lexi.

His voice is "Low. Rough around the edges. Breathless in a way that feels... wrong. Or maybe right. I can't tell."

Thank you once again Lexi, this meant the world to me hun that you are keeping me in your list and that I'm not missing out on any of your work. I cannot wait to get straight into "Gracie Gets Lucky" this is another short novella that has been written by Lexi, the plot is based around St Patricks day which is a big celebration practically everywhere (well I think it is, I know in New Zealand it's very popular drinking celebration). It's a friends to lovers novella, and I'm very excited and thankful for this read and to be able to write a review on it before release date.

"Like a man who hasn't just realised he'd happily burn this entire building down if it meant keeping Hannah safe."

Happy reading and make sure you order your copy of "Cupid is a Liar" by Lexi because you will regret it if you don't, this book is a must read short novella. And also don't forget for a limited time only through "BookBub" Lexi's book "Pretty Vicious" is on sale for 99c, if you haven't registered yet for BookBub I recommend this as well, you'll find good books at discounted prices daily through them.
